Stoke City's
Andy Wilkinson has been charged with violent conduct by the Football
Association and faces a three-match ban following an incident with Manchester City's Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli went to ground during City's 1-1 draw at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday and although the referee Mark Clattenburg missed an apparent elbow, it was picked up by television cameras.
Wilkinson has until 6pm on Wednesday to contest the FA charge, ahead of Stoke's Premier League meeting with Chelsea on Saturday.
Tony Pulis's side earned a controversial point against the champions, Peter Crouch breaking the deadlock after appearing to handball twice in the buildup.
